Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Culture, Istanbul Historical Turkish Music Ensemble is an institution which performs Tasavvuf (Sufi Mystic Music), Mehter (Otoman Military Music) and Classical Turkish Music in vast geography from Morocco to China from Siberia to India where people have lived for 25 centuries.The assembly has organized this concert to show that Mehter (Ottoman Military Mussic), Tasavvuf (Sufi Mystic Music) and Classical Turkish Music can be performed altogether they may seem as separate blanches.In the world music, our classical music whose roots date back past and –whose trunk referring today and branches referring future – will be performed in the concert named as from “Kopuz to Today” our assembly can perform Mehter, Tasavvuf and Classical Turkish Music in event its sub group constituting its own group and it can also perform Mevlevi Rites. photos... audio... video...
